Plano’s 2022 Annual Comprehensive Financial Report earned the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting. The award is the highest organizations can receive from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA). Financial data for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2022 was the focus.
An impartial panel determined the report met the high GFOA standards, which include demonstrating a constructive "spirit of full disclosure" to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users to read the report.
