Human Resources listened to your feedback regarding issues with the process for signing up for in-person courses. Registering for in-person sessions NOW means:
- Training liaisons no longer need to approve training requests for employees to sign up for courses.
- When selecting the Course Session in PeopleSoft, you will automatically be enrolled if there is an open seat; or waitlisted if no seat is available.
- An email will instantly be sent alerting you to whether you’re enrolled or waitlisted.
- Next, supervisors receive a notice of the enrollment (which includes the location, date and time of the course).
- The employee, direct supervisor and the training liaison still receive reminder emails three days and one day before the class begins.
- Training liaisons can still enroll employees in course sessions and run reports. The only change is they no longer need to approve the requests.
- To cancel or withdraw from a class, send an email to training@plano.gov which notifies the training team. You’ll be contacted within 24 hours. Please cancel classes as early as possible to allow time to inform people on the waitlist.
