One of the ways Human Resources (HR) will communicate 2023 Open Enrollment (OE) info is with text messaging. All Team Plano members are encouraged to update their personal contact information in PeopleSoft if you wish to give HR permission to send you benefit-related texts. You have until Saturday, September 30 to modify your cell phone info, if you haven’t already.
To ensure HR can reach you, please verify your address and phone numbers are correct in our system and “opt in” to receive text messaging. In PeopleSoft, under Employee Self Service click “Personal Details” then:
- Under “Contact Details,” verify cell text messages allowed is selected. This gives HR permission to send you important notices relating to Open Enrollment and changes to your benefits.
- If your cell phone number doesn’t appear, please add it by clicking the “+” symbol and entering the number

HR shares important news by email, the U.S. Postal Service, the TeamPlano website and texts to help employees make the best benefits choices. Using multiple communications resources is how we make sure you get the most out of what Plano has to offer.
Remember, Saturday, September 30 is the deadline to opt in to receive text messages from HR.
