Don’t keep driving or walking past unsightly litter along our beautiful parks, creeks and roadways. Join or create a team to help pick up trash and debris during the Great American Cleanup! This annual community beautification program impacts everyone’s environmental health by improving wildlife habitats and protecting water quality.
Get involved during our Clean and Green Spring campaign – it is not too late:
- Saturday, March 18, 10 am - Noon: Join the final Winter Waterway Cleanup. It's easier to access creeks and remove litter before the vegetation grows back.
- Saturday, March 25, 9 - 11 am: Take part in a litter cleanup around Plano West Senior High School and Tom Muehlenbeck Recreation Center. This is a great opportunity for students to earn school service hours for the National Honor Society credit.

- Saturday, April 15, 9 - 11 am: Bring family and friends to our signature cleanup event, the Great American Cleanup, which includes multiple staff-led litter cleanups across Plano. Groups are especially encouraged to participate! Volunteers collected 596 bags in 2022 amounting to 5.69 tons of litter. Register before Monday, April 10.
Anyone can organize a self-led litter cleanup and request supplies for year-round clean-ups. Groups of 25+ can also reserve the Community Cleanup Trailer for free to tackle big projects.
See you out there!
