Public votes were cast in the spring to determine the City’s best offerings in arts, services, entertainment, food and shopping. Nominees on the ballots were compiled by Plano Magazine staff and contributors.

The online voting allowed patrons of more than 100 area businesses, venues, restaurants, retailers and special events to pick their favorites. The City of Plano did well in several categories:

Best Event Venue – Courtyard Theater
Best Outing on a Budget – Plano City Parks
Best Event/Festival – Dickens in Downtown Plano (#2)
Best Way to Get Your Heart Rate Up – Go Ape Treetop Adventures (#2)
Best Place to Explore Plano’s Past – Interurban Railway Museum (#3)
