Take the “Workplace Waste Ace” Course in Spanish or English

The deadline to complete your MANDATORY Workplace Waste Ace training is Wednesday, August 31. In 2020, all government entities were ordered to establish educational programs like this one to promote recycling practices among employees. To meet the state requirement, the Sustainability & Environmental Education division created Workplace Waste Ace.

This requirement applies to full-time and part-time employees. The class is now part of the Human Resources onboarding process for new hires.

To complete the training online in English

  1. Log into Skillsoft 
    • User ID is your 5-digit employee ID number
    • Password is the first three letters of your last name in CAPS + the last 4 digits of your Social Security number.
  2. Click the “Owl wearing glasses” on the home page under “Featured Content.” 
  3. Click the red “Launch” in the “Workplace Waste Ace” module to get started

To take the course in-person on August 31 in Spanish:

  • Register through PeopleSoft with Course Code: SD1100
  • Email employee name and ID number to: 
  • Attend at: Municipal Center, Training Room A
  • Join at: 8:30-10 a.m.
