COVID monoclonal antibodies

A state-funded infusion center opened this month in McKinney administering monoclonal antibody treatments to COVID-positive patients. Qualifying individuals can receive the treatment at this Regional Infusion Center at NO cost. The form of treatment is available to all ages. 

Who qualifies for this COVID care?
The infusions are for COVID-19 patients who are not yet hospitalized or on oxygen supplements. Patients must be within 10 days of symptom onset.

What if I get the monoclonal antibody treatment in my doctor’s office?
Anyone on the City’s benefits plan, who has this treatment at their physician’s office is subject to an office copay only.

What if I get the monoclonal antibody treatment at a hospital?
City benefits plan members who receive this COVID treatment as an out-patient at a hospital will pay a deductible and coinsurance. 

This antibody therapy is proving to be an essential tool in helping to keep COVID-19 patients out of the hospital. Should you or a dependent test positive and decide to have this treatment, remember the McKinney Regional Infusion Center provides this service at NO cost.
