You have until Friday, August 24 to share your idea about what “stewardship” really means and what it looks like. Our City Manager, Bruce Glasscock, led the charge by expressing his definition of Stewardship:
“To me Stewardship is a matter of accountability…a matter of integrity….a matter of attitude that influences how we work. Key words I associate with Stewardship are trust and integrity – responsibility and accountability. Understanding that we are all responsible and accountable for managing the resources we have been entrusted with. Our leadership today and in the future will help us to keep delivering the high-quality, cost-effective service our community expects.”
The City’s new SERVE (Stewardship Engaged Respectful Visionary Excellence) philosophy of doing business is moving forward! Over the next couple of months, we’re focusing on the Stewardship part of our organizational values to acquaint and align all of Team Plano with this principle’s meaning:
“Mindful of resources in a consistent and transparent manner.”
Share what Stewardship means to you with pictures! Participate in the SERVE Photo Contest that began August 6 and ends August 24. Here’s how you can WIN PRIZES:
NOTE: Your responses can be just a couple of words or a short phrase related to Stewardship and why you choose to be a member of Team Plano.
We’ll draw for several prizes from all of the submitted entries. A Stewardship Photo Contest slideshow will be posted, along with names of winners, on Team Plano by August 30.
In addition, your picture may be used on the City of Plano website (plano.gov), or perhaps on one of Plano’s social media pages (Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter) with the hashtags, #TeamPlano and #PlanoStewardship. Why? To let future Team Plano members see what Stewardship means to us.
We’re excited to see images of how you choose to SERVE.
