City’s Outdoor Pool Swimming Ends & New Recreation Center Hours Begin

Luau15 022

School is in for Plano ISD and the City’s outdoor pools are out…well, almost. Lovers of Plano’s great outdoor aquatic facilities will have to put their splashing into overdrive between now and Monday, September 4 because the season closes after Labor Day.

You still have some time to enjoy the many outdoor water amenities provided by the Parks and Recreation department. Each of the following locations will be open from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Labor Day:

  • Jack Carter Pool
  • Plano Aquatic Center
  • Rowlinson Natatorium
  • Liberty Recreation Center
  • Tom Muehlenbeck Recreation Center

NOTE:  The indoor leisure pool at Tom Muehlenbeck Recreation Center will close from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, September 8 for maintenance. Click here for the center’s Fall 2017 public swim hours.
