Relocating to the bustling westside of Plano is a positive move for the City’s visitors bureau. Rudyard Kipling wrote “Oh, East is East and West is West, and never the twain shall meet,” and the sometimes misunderstood poem’s meaning of connectivity ties in perfectly with the reason for Visit Plano’s (VP) change of address.
For Executive Director Mark Thompson and his team, August 24 marked their first day of doing business in their new home – 7600 Windrose Avenue, Suite G-110 in the Legacy West development.
“Our new office and visitor center allows us to be even more connected with the Plano community while continuing to offer the same great hospitality and service to our guests. With our larger space, we have an official Plano Visitor Center with brochures and maps to help people find their way around Plano and explore all the great attractions, shopping and dining. We also have more staff offices enabling us to grow our team so we can better sell Plano as a destination for conferences, meetings, events and sports tournaments which expands the economic footprint of our city,” Mark says.
