It’s an incredible honor when members of an elite business community like Plano’s recognizes your work ethic and validates your commitment to public service. For City Manager Bruce Glasscock that endorsement came when the Plano Chamber of Commerce selected him as the 2017 Business Executive of the Year.
“Bruce was really taken by surprise by the announcement,” said the Chamber’s Director of Programs and Communications Katie Gimenez. “He deserves this top achievement award and we’re so excited to acknowledge his leadership.” This award is given based on a nominee’s strategic thinking and pursuit of excellence within the Plano business community, as well as for being regarded as a business professional with integrity.
The announcement was made by 2016 Executive of the Year Rusty Gentry (Toyota of Plano) during a Chamber luncheon this week. The official presentation of the award will be made later this year at the Chamber’s annual Best of Plano event.
