Ron Moore knows all about emergencies and shares that insight regularly through “Ready with Ron” videos. He’s the City’s Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) coordinator armed with a wealth of knowledge to help safeguard your family…your property…and your pets.
In this episode of Plano Emergency Management’s “Ready with Ron”, you’ll learn tips on how to ensure food safety and how to prevent foodborne illness during a power outage.
“Real world emergencies are shown in each video which make the topics relatable to Plano residents. My aim is to make our City as prepared as possible for any number of dangerous scenarios – tornados, downed electrical wires, power outages or even food safety,” he said of the program.
Ron knows so much about how to keep people safe because he’s been a firefighter/EMT for Prosper Fire Rescue and retired as a division chief for McKinney. Coming out of retirement, he worked as training manager for Plano Fire-Rescue before taking on the CERT coordinator job. Ron has lived in Plano for 26 years and cares about our City.
