Coworkers, supervisors, managers and directors gathered to support 2019 Leadership for the 21st Century Program grads. There were 21 people who successfully completed the 6-month program and received certificates during a ceremony on September 25 at the Oak Point Retreat and Nature Center.
Tony Beasley, coordinator of Leadership for the 21st Century (L21) program, was emcee. Deputy City Manager Shelli Siemer congratulated the group offering pearls of wisdom about their future as leaders. Two of the graduates are with the City of Murphy. Congratulations to the 2019 L21 Class:
To date, there have been 376 City of Plano graduates and 28 City of Murphy grads to complete the program.
This year Leadership for the 21st Century centered around three key focuses: Transitioning to Leadership, Building High-Performing Teams and Handling Situations.
Applications and supervisor recommendations for the 2020 L21 program will go out the last week of January 2020.
