It’s Back, Join the IT’S TIME TEXAS Challenge

Its Time Texas logo

We are excited and proud to announce our participation in the 2019 IT’S TIME TEXAS Community Challenge! This is an eight-week (Monday, January 7 to Sunday, March 3) healthier-living competition aimed at Texas communities, schools, organizations, municipalities and individuals. The goal: see who can earn the most points by making healthy choices every day!

As an employee, you have an opportunity to help your team/department win money to pay for health or wellness-related activities!

Here’s how you can get involved:

  1. Go to the IT’S TIME TEXAS Challenge (ITT) website:
  2. Register – it’s free and takes a minute. Choose “PLANO” as your community and earn your City team 500 points instantly!
  3. Start logging your healthy efforts to earn points:
    • Track your daily physical activity (100 points)
    • Snap healthy selfies (200 points)
    • Plan healthy events at work – potlucks, group walks, recreation games, etc. (200 points)
    • Organize communitywide health activities (200 points)

To earn wellness funds for your department:

  • Submit your healthy workplace activity to and to Senior Wellness Coordinator Michelle Gifford. Include your department name in the email.
  • Each department earns $50 for submitting a photo of their first healthy workplace event.
  • The more health-event photos submitted, the more times your department is entered into a bi-weekly drawing to earn $100.
  • One winning photo is drawn every two weeks. Different photos must be submitted for each bi-weekly drawing.
  • Multiple submissions of the same photo don’t count in the ITT Community Challenge or in the department challenge.
  • Photos are posted on the TeamPlano website.

(All funds earned must be used on a wellness-related activity or event for the team/department.)

If you have any questions, contact Michelle Gifford 972-941-7227. Let’s go Team Plano! May the most active department win!
